Born in Poland, raised in Chicago, Balbinka Korzeniowska had a brief stint in politics before becoming an actor and ultimately landing her starring role as a writer / director.

She began her filmmaking career with “My Name is Asia”, a short film based on her own experience of being bullied for being an immigrant on her first day of school in America. Since then she went on to make several award winning shorts including her 16mm documentary short “An Artist and a Son” which premiered at the Palm Springs Documentary Festival and “Awaken”, nominated for the 2015 Student Academy Awards. Upon graduation she founded her production company, Blueyes Productions, which has collaborated with clients like Dainese, World of Warcraft and Funko to name a few.

She is currently in post production of her first feature, PLAYING THROUGH.

When not busy doing all things film related, you can find Balbinka somewhere in the mountains with her rescue dog, Oliver, attempting to rescue more animals. She holds an MFA in Directing from UCLA.
